Using the Mail Filters To Manage Messages

What is a Mail Filter?
In EagleMail, Mail Filters are a way to manage messages based on certain content of the message. An example of this would be to move all messages from "someone@address.com" into your saved items folder.
This can also be used to move messages that may be marked as [SPAM] from a user whose e-mails you would like to receive by simply moving their messages to another folder.

How Do I Acces My Mail Filters:
To access your mail filters, please log into your EagleMail and click on the "Mail Filters" icon in the menu bar. (Figure - 1)

How Do I Set Up a Mail Filter To Move Messages?
Once you are in the Mail Filters page, simply start at the very top and fill out the boxes that go across the screen leaving the "Priority" at "10". (Figure - 1)
Example: To move all messages from "someone@address.com" into the "Saved" folder fill the form out this way:

  • Priority: "10" (The lower the number, the earlier this filter gets applied)
  • Rules: "From" (This will move all messages from a specified email addres)
  • Inc/Exc: Inc (Sets the rule to look if the "From" field includes a specific address)
  • String: someone@address.com (This is where you specify the addres you want to include)
  • Action: Move (This will move the message if the filter: from someone@address.com applies)
  • Destination: Saved (This is where the message will be moved)
  • Enable: Checked (This will activate the mail filter)

Once you filled this out, click on "Add/Modify" to save the rule. (Figure - 1)
